The Calisthenics Blog was created to build a community of like-minded individuals in the calisthenics community across Australia and New Zealand. We aim to foster connection between states and members, share calisthenics related news, and build a space where we can chat about all things cali. We aim to be a positive space for the sport, and are strongly focused on putting the wellbeing of our athletes, coaches, and adjudicators first, always.
MICHAELA KEAST
FOUNDER AND EDITOR

Michaela has an extensive background in Calisthenics, starting when she was three years old in South Australia. Since then she has been involved in teams of all ages and abilities, both competing and coaching. This gives her a well-rounded understanding of the sport as a whole, which is highlighted through her writing.
Michaela completed her undergraduate degree in 2019, majoring in English and Creative Writing. She then commenced a Masters degree in Communications, which she completed in the top 5% of her Academic Unit in 2021. Since then she has delved into the social media marketing space, working full-time as a Social Media Coordinator for a nation-wide tourism company.
Michaela loves writing, and whilst she adores her job, social media captions require a very different type of writing from long-form content. Realising the lack of a positive space to find calisthenics-related content on the internet, Michaela decided to start The Calisthenics Blog to both satisfy her lust for writing, and build a network of like-minded cali enthusiasts around the world.
